Well, I finally finished it and I'm a bit sad, because when the series accompanies you for roughly 10 years it's something that in the long run feels a bit of a home and a bit of a friends. And I must confess I was somewhat underwhelmed with the finale, because I thought it would go with more of a bang and boom, but heck, I'm not going to complain here. I'm in peace with it. It was great series, with many great characters, with many badass females and one James Holden, unbearable and unforgettab ...more

I love a series that starts with and interesting premise and then takes it all the way through it’s logical conclusion. The Expanse does this a few times over the initial books, making the aperture of the mystery larger and larger. Characters will well written and memorable. A couple of the books felt like a little bit of a slog, especially the one where the entire book took place on a planet — this is a series about space!
