I really enjoyed this one. I feel like the WoT series is really rolling right now and I’m planning on reading at least one a month.
I’d love to finish the series in 2022 (which will still be a challenge). Jordan’s world-building and character development takes time, but it’s so rewarding to see characters grow and develop over these books.

Finally this series has started click for me! The 4th book is when the series starts to come into its own and if this carries on, I’ll be a very happy reader.
Although slow at the start, once our cast of characters separate and go off on their own adventures the book really starts to get interesting.

This book is certainly MUCH longer than the 3 before it; however, this is truly peak narrative for some of the characters involved. Perrin Goldeneyes? *swoon* Mat and Rand going thru (view spoiler) together? Fantastic. We also get so much information on the Aiel and their complicated society, much to my delight. My favorite of the series so far! I couldn’t decide on a favorite POV, each character was facing such engaging challenges, and I was on the edge of my seat reading about how each was pushed. The character development was the best yet, and the balance of character/plot/world-building was done extremely well.
