This was a slow burn for me. After getting a third of the way through the book, I realized not a lot had happened outside of the initial conflict. However, the ending made it all worth it. Amazing!
I really loved Schwab's other works and when I read the synopsis on this one I was really excited for it. Unfortunately, I don't think this one holds up to her other novels. Usually Schwab creates these amazing characters that are so interesting and while Addie fits the bill Henry really falls flat for me. So flat that I actually began to dislike the book once it began switching to his perspective. His point of view really threw off vibe of the book and felt disjointed from the rest of the story
