I wouldn't have picked up this book without it being assigned as a book club choice. I think it is because I have daughters, am a daughter, who knows but I didn't really find myself drawn in. I was thrilled to read it though because it is one of those books that had a real feel for the characters and their relationships and I thought that the way the grandmother was featured felt great.
