Book club fodder for certain. This book gives you the two sides of a marriage in a very compelling way. It's fairly written with each side given equal weight A.S.A. Harrison is able to give both sides of this coin a very different feel. It was fun to go on the individual journey of each person in this marriage and see their perspectives. Very disappointing. Yes, a little bit in the Gone Girl genre in the sense that it's written in a no nonsense, plain, matter of fact way. However, as with Gone Girl, I felt no empathy for any of the characters. I really didn't care what happened to any of the subjects if this book. I listened to it on audio and it wasn't particularly well read so that didn't help. By disc 6 of 7 it became clear there might be a twist in the plot but when it came it was hardly worth waiting for. ...more
