The concept in this book was interesting. I need to go back and read In The Forests of the Night as I think Jessica makes her initial cameo in that book and I hope you learn more about Aubrey. The story kept me going right to the end but everything seems to happen so abruptly. In the space of 176 pages you meet Jessica, learn she dreams are reality of the vampire community, meets Aubrey, falls in love and then chooses to become a vampire.
