This has to be one of the cutest books I have ever read! I will admit for whatever reason I had low expectations going into this book when I started it. However, this book FAR exceeded all of my expectations, and it was like being wrapped in a warm blanket. 🤩 The arrival of Holiday Spirit, aka Hall, was clever!
🤩 Revenge magic.
🤩 I laughed out loud when Bettie had Hall magically sabotage her ex’s dance on Dancing with the Stars!
🤩 For a magical being, I love how advertising/marketing/consumerism sure work on him. Any Cracker Barrel fans out there?

Ever wonder what would happen if an broke heiress with a failed influencer lifestyle crossed paths with Buddy the Elf trying to be Cary Grant in The Bishop's Wife? And then they try to pull off the fake dating trope while spending a week up in the mountains with her big disfunctional family.

This is a manic, chaotic, tinsel laden, histrionic-filled Christmas story. It's very much like the run-up to December 25, and it's pretty exhausting. Not my favorite from Sarah Hogle.
