This book is a heartfelt and heartwarming read, that had me both laughing out loud and tearing up.
Katherine Center is fantastic at mixing heavier topics with lightness and humor, and the Bodyguard did just that.

This started off promising and even made me laugh a few times, but around the 40% mark, it started getting boring. I really hated how stubborn Hannah was towards Taylor and how she ended up treating her after she found out what happened between her and Robby. I didn’t expect Hannah to forgive, but she definitely didn’t have to keep giving Taylor the cold shoulder, especially as time went on and Hannah’s feelings for Jack progressed. The Bodyguard was my first Katherine Center book, and I'll definitely be reading more from her!

Hannah is an Executive Protection Agent hired to protect celebrity Jack Stapleton while he's home visiting his family in Texas. I would’ve finished this in one sitting if I didn’t have responsibilities. It’s a quick-paced, truly fun read that I wish I would’ve picked up sooner. I loved the characters and the romance and their jobs! and every other little detail. And Clipper has a special place in my heart. 🥹

The writing style was different and refreshing and honestly inspiring. Adding this one to my favorites shelf!

My Grade B-

The Good and the not so Good:
-The chemistry was on point, but could have used more kissing. I wasn't expecting a full on sex scene, but the book needed more spice.
-I was hoping that there was going to be more threats for her to protect Jake from. The book needed more action.
-I loved Jakes parents! Especially the mom!
