This is definitely going onto my list of comfort reads.

The Dead Romantics tells the story of Florence Day, ghostwriter for the famous Ann Nichols & the eldest of 3 children. Her family owns a funeral parlor in her small hometown.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! It was beautifully written, though I did feel the plot was slightly repetitive at times, like it followed a pattern that was a bit redundant. I wish there would’ve been more focus on the romance, but I did like the way Florence processed grief and dealt with her father’s funeral. There is no perfect book, and I think that’s what has made this one so endearing to me. It was lovely and beautiful and the ending nearly made my heart burst. Definitely one of ...more
