Wow, just wow! As I made my way through this unique collection of anecdotes, profound thoughts, refreshing perspectives, and much needed challenges, I found myself feeling so seen. There are so many of us out there recovering from the wounds of evangelicalism and and a singleminded focus on rules and dogma instead of love and relationships. I consider Rachel Held Evans as one of my mentors-in-spirit in my journey to re-learn how to live out my faith. This book (recommended by my daughter) pretty much set my deconstruction in motion. I can’t count how many times I have recommended this book to souls that are just starting to deconstruct their faith. Beautifully, honestly, profoundly written. Highly recommended!
