The first half of this book was SO good! I was really enjoying the mystery aspect and enjoyed following our main character. Around the halfway point we introduced a side character and took a turn I didn't really see the point to the overall story. While it did indeed tie into the overall mystery by the end, I think that character could have been cut. The last 50 pages were good and suspenseful, as I would expect from a story like this.
