This was a very quick and enjoyable read for me, and of the almost-50 books I've read this year, it became my 4th 5-star read.

It was a clever execution. The helix based writing style of past and present narrative works beautifully to keep a reader engaged in both storylines. Nothing is revealed too early and there is enough closure for all characters. I wished in the acknowledgements the author eluded more towards what guided her to this historic route.
