What Members Thought
Adorable, charming story full of quirky, sincere characters worth rooting for. Loved it in equal measure with The Bookish Life of Nina Hill. Did not disappoint, but minus one star for the will-they-or-won’t-they dragging a little too slowly. A slooooooow burn.
Finally finished this up for November book club. Which is meeting Monday.
Laura has moved from NYC to LA to pursue a master's degree and ends up finding a new, welcoming group of weirdos who become like family as well.
I really liked Nina Hill, so when I saw this was a sequel of sorts, I was excited and snatched it off the shelves of our new bookstore at their soft opening. Y'all, I'm disappointed. I don't remember Nina having an omniscient narrator like this (though its been over two years sinc ...more
