Grandmother Story is a rich recluse who disowned her four children for no known reason while they were in college, and has not spoken to them since. When she sends letters to the three grandchildren she has never met, Milly, Aubrey, and Jonas, they are shocked. Their parents quickly agree it is an invitation they must not turn down, and send their teens to work at the huge hotel owned by their grandmother.

I love Karen McManus with all my heart, I can’t thank her enough for what she does to me, with that I mean for all the amazing books she writes.
I enjoyed this book from the beginning to the end, it made me feel like I didn’t know what’s was happening sometimes which I think was great, it got me hooked up from the story and the Storys you know what I mean. The characters are all well written and I love the way they are developed trough the book and the way we see the story trough their eyes, Alli ...more

“Everybody has secrets,' she says, taking a sip of her drink. 'That's nondebatable. The only question is whether you're keeping your own, or someone else's.”
― Karen M. McManus, The Cousins
This is the first book I read by Karen M. McManus and I am not at all disappointed. I have already bought her other 3 books and waiting for the 4th book as well. She is now my new favorite writer and her books are now on my automatic buy list. This book has mixed reviews but I think it is worth the hype.
