Hi there, I read my second Murakami i.e. Norwegian Wood, and spent the last week ruminating about it. The book majorly deals with the themes of death, suicide, mental health, and coming-of-age.
Murakami’s affinity towards Fitzgerald’s Great Gatsy is prominent and the plot is in a way a reflection of the same. With lines like “Sometimes I would reach out and try to grasp the grains of light, but my fingers touched nothing” ...more
