Pro: Interesting idea. Kind of wierd, but the author runs with it in such a way that it works well.
Lovely writing. I seriously love Zhang's writing style. True, it's not terribly subtle but it's her first book so I'm guessing with a little more polish she'll be even better.
Characters that don't make me want to scream and are actually interesting. Granted Devon/Ryan were kind of bland but I'm hoping more developement for them come later in the series.
