Suzanne Collins rocked my world
(The most impressive things about this book are 1. The intricacy of every character, even ones that speak no lines 2. How fast paced and engaging everything was while still playing into emotion and making each moment matter. It’s a difficult balance to get and Suzanne does it brilliantly)

I love this book so much, I can't explain it...thank you, Suzanne Collins, for bringing Katniss + Co. to life through these pages. I've learned so much about fashion, humanity, fighting, and bravery from The Hunger Games, and the food is simply mouthwatering. I've often finished the book and immediately turned back to the first page to experience the story all over again. I never get bored of this masterpiece. It is truly a book like no other.

Wow! I loved this book for all reasons! It was funny at times and serious or dangerous at others. The show they put on for the people from each district, and the fake love, that felt so real. Actions that meant to save but could have put everyone in danger. Every win has sacrifices, and so did theirs. Can't wait to read the next book, Catching Fire

Why I rated this book a 5: I had forgotten how truly, completely, unequivocally wonderful this book was. The last time I read it was in high school, so although I did remember some of the major plotlines, I had entirely forgotten the feeling of being in the book. Collins completely captures the essence of Katniss in a way that simultaneously makes her appealing to readers while maintaining an air of emotional inaccessibility around her character. Having lived through more life now than when I fi
