i went into this book with limited expectations - i knew that it was popular and that i wanted to read it, but i had no idea what it was about (other than that it was a cinderella retelling), or even that it was part of a series (but now that i know…i am desperate to read the others). i feel like this is the ideal sweet spot to enter reading a book in, because it allowed me the chance to be absolutely pleasantly surprised. in short: i really enjoyed this book.

I have been wanting to read this book for FOREVER, and it was not what I expected, but it did NOT disappoint! I loved it SO FREAKING MUCH. As soon as I actually have money again, you bet I’m gonna be buying Scarlet!
I loved the romance, it was so cute, and even though the ‘plot twist’ was pretty predictable, it was still really good!!
Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 , I’ve never read anything like it! Definitely a new all-time favourite!
