Dawg that ENDING. Why did the story have to make me sadder each chapter?!?

Totally loved this book, Ev is a girlboss, but sometimes her and Celia annoy me. I know your fruity women in the 1900’s but please don’t fight this much you two love each other 😭.

This book felt oddly therapeutic and really showed my gay side 😀

A story of loss, survival and heartbreak. "The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo" will always be one of the best books I have read that truly details the human experience. The flawed and imperfect characters are what make this book the fantastic and emotional masterpiece it is. Evelyn Hugo isn't perfect, she made lots of decisions that hurt the people who meant the most to her. The flawed and imperfect characters are what make this book the fantastic and emotional masterpiece it is. Evelyn Hugo isn't perfect, she made lots of decisions that hurt the people who meant the most to her. She crawled her way up to fame. She valued the public's image of her, and that caused her to make lots of decisions, some that she regretted, some that she would make over and over again. Evelyn was powerful, with hunger for fame. She wanted to make something huge out of herself. But as she met different people, and got married seven times, Evelyn realised the true meaning of life and how she should have spent it. She's more human than most people. Taylor Jenkins Reid has a tendency for writing real and raw characters. Characters that you can't help but love and admire. Evelyn Hugo is one of those characters. As I reread this book, I felt the same emotions I had when first reading. But the second time I read it, I see how clever of a book it is and how much it speaks to me. "The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo" is a book that once stuck with me and will always stick with me. My heart will forever hold a place for this book and it's characters. Not to mention the amount of great quotes this book had. I'll list just a few of my favorites below.

wow....i just...i love this book, it was so beautiful, i think you can see how speechless I am. Yes at the beginning i was anticipating this book because it was missing something for me to actually get that encouragement to continue reading but the fact that i was promised that it would get better kept me going, and it did!
The story of Evelyn hugo was one that i really loved and admire, i got to see how she came from nothing to something, and i mean SOMETHING!! her perspective on the world was ...more

This is genuinely going on my list of favorite books. I love the way it’s written, telling Evelyn’s story but also telling Monique’s.

You’re told a story about seven husbands and what each of them had to offer and what each took. You don’t expect it at the beginning, but you’re also presented with a love story between two women in a time when their love could have costed them everything.

This book will surprise you in the way it presents love, loss, and family. It’s just a really freaking good b ...more
