I’m not a RomCom fan because the format is always the same, and I’m not particularly fond of stories that are that predictable... but I understand the appeal, as it can be nice to know you are going to have an happy ending and a lot of fluff (and some smut if you are lucky) in between... but, overall the stories tend to follow a specific sort of arc that for me can get boring fast.

BUT this book was very well written and I could not put it down.

This was a cute story for the most part. I do feel like Olive should have just told Ahn that she was over Jeremy, but then the whole story would not have happened. The characterization was a bit flat as well. Other than surface level things, there was not much to the characters. Adam is grumpy, Olive is quirky. That's about it.
Adam is pretty sweet once you get to know him, and I thought the banter between Olive and him was cute as well, but it's nothing exceptional.

This book is light hearted for the most part, sweet, and a quick read. Trigger warning, there is some discussion around sexism, assaults, and have use of power dynamics. That said, the book does a really good job of explaining and condoning consent without being pedantic or heavy handed.

The main character is smart and fierce and fantastic. The romantic lead is not overly Jealous or condescending, as male romantically have a penchant for a lot of the times.

Overall I enjoyed the story.

Eu quero dar 10000 estrelas pra esse livro.
Geralmente não ligo muito pra romance, mas eu amei esse livro do começo ao fim. Não tenho nada de ruim pra apontar. Claro que tem uns clichezinhos, mas eles não diminuem em nada a história e eu só posso dizer que amei, amei, amei.

P.S. acabei de descobrir que ela real tem mais uns 10 livros, nunca fui triste
