What Members Thought

Pros:
- an easy, quick read.
- amusing magic system/ unique world-building
- has some Naomi Novik vibes
Cons:
- As fun as this world is to imagine, the dialogue falls short, or maybe the pacing forces this weakness.
- Strong beginning, mixed middle, rushed ending
- The romance timeline felt too rushed, making it less believable. In a sense, I wished this was longer.

Positives on this book:
I listened to this on audio and the narrator was fantastic!
This was a new to me author and I thoroughly enjoyed her writing. The world was very interesting and I enjoyed the fairy court/political system that was within this story. I liked how their magic works for them amd how the humans had their own version of magic (their crafts) and how it was so highly sought after and envived by the fairy folk. Such an interesting twist on the human fae relationship.
