What Members Thought

Extraordinary in many ways. Proust has an astonishing ability to vivisect the personalities of his various characters with scientific precision. As he reveals the petty insecurities, lies, and obsessions of the men and women of Combray and Paris I find myself laughing out loud alone in the middle of the night. Reading his prose becomes a visceral and sensual experience worthy of close delectation.
