I greatly enjoyed the main characters of Rufus and Mateo. The friends, family, neighbors and small number of extraneous characters were quite critical to the story as well. I was quite hooked by this book.

”The best thing about dying is your friendship.”
This was the sweetest, most heartbreaking book I’ve ever read. I knew they were going to die even before I started the book because duh, obviously, look at the title, but WHY DID THEY HAVE TO DIE????!???
I cried my way through the ENTIRE book (no exaggerations, I genuinely cried through it all) but honestly, I can’t imagine any other ending. It was perfect. Sad and heartbreaking but perfect.

I- I'm speechless this novel is everything good (and bad.. the deaths). The writing was amazing, and i started to tear up reading the end oh my. This is such a beautiful book I recommend this, if you haven't you got to read it!!
