Well written, sensitive book for upper elementary where the action revolves around the school play of "Charlotte's Web". Conveniently George's best friend Kelly is a generous, compassionate, accepting and understanding soul. Still reveling in the beauty of this book. George was born a boy but feels completely like a girl. I loved how the author’s voice consistently used “she” and “her” in the writing, even before George has told anyone that she considers herself a girl. Written for upper elementary or middle grades, the topic is handled beautifully and one can not resist hoping that George has her chance to be who she truly is.
