Is it ever too early to teach a child that there are multiple ways to see the world and that everyone has a different perspective? This book beautifully shows children that what you see, depends on where you sit, based on your own current reality.

In the picture book, different animals all see a cat and we see how the cat appears from their perspective. What I did not predict is the howls and howls of laughter this book would generate. Read each page slowly to prolong the laughs. Children laughed

I read this with some preschoolers. They loved how the cat looked different in each page. We talked a bit about perspective and point of view—why did people think the cat looked that way? It would be great for use with older kids on perspective as writers.
