What Members Thought
The illustrations are gorgeous. And the messages are so sweet. But it kind of reads like a mashup of Instagram paraphrases of wisdom from everyone from Viktor Frankl to the Beatles to the Dalai Lama.
I was hoping to be moved by this book so universally available and loved, but I was more charmed than anything by the soft palette, ink drawings and musings on life, loss, forgiveness and, ultimately, love. Might be a sweet book for sharing with children during a family read-aloud, where they can look at the illustrations and ask questions.
One of those timelessly beautiful books that are a meditation on life and marvellous gifts to give anyone young or old
