Fascinating portrait of a young Pakistani citizen who seems to have made it big in New York until his world-view is changed following the attack on the World Trade center. The second-person narration threw me off a bit at the beginning but since that added such an emphasis the unreliable narrator issue angle I began to enjoy it. The whole allusion to the Janissaries of the the crusades was a revelation. Looking forward to discussing this one in book club!
