Wow wow wow. WOW. This is a women’s longlist nominee and it is phenomenal. It’s about so many things, but to me, the heart of the novel is about seeking the answers to humanity’s most important, and unknowable, questions through the lenses of science and faith.

This an extremely moving book about the immigrant experience, racism and addiction. It's got a lot of sadness but the story is beautifully told.
