I was lucky to get an advance copy of the Immortalists at a summer conference and had the pleasure of reading it while exploring a new city. I don't always have time to read when I travel but when I do I want a gripping, reflective story that gives a new lens to human issues. One that gets deeply connected with my thoughts and explorations on the trip and that becomes an essential memory of the time. Amazing book and a family saga about four siblings who see a fortune teller when they are little. The woman tells them all the exact date each will die, and you see (wonder??) how that affects each of their lives and decisions. Fascinating.
