Adored this graphic novel and the depth it has in it. Moving from Taiwan to the US, Cici is adjusting but it’s hard and she misses her grandmother. When she joins a cooking contest to win money to bring her grandmother over, she learns a lot about herself and is able to add dashes of American culture to her own Taiwanese heritage of which she is very proud. Great book about friendship, cooking, Julia Child and culture.
