What Members Thought
It took me a while to get through the book. I found it at times repetitive and slow, and the first story could have been shorter (or cut out entirely). But having said all that I loved the take on time travel and the overall message at the end. Also the last story is beautiful.
I'm sorry to see this book has such a low rating here, as for me it was wonderful. You can listen to a more in-depth discussion of it on our podcast here.
It makes sense that this is a theatre play that was then turned into a book, as the whole story takes place in the same location - a cafe which allows its patrons to travel in time for the duration of time that it takes for a cup of coffee to get cold.
