Now, trapped in a dull life, the child of a quintessential modern day Southern belle who deeply resents her, Joesy usually finds refuge in her closet full of travel magazines and hidden sweets of every kind--untill she discovers a soaking wet, beaten up woman hiding there. Another lovely read from Sarah Addision Allen. I love her books because she creates these magical places that I enjoy visiting. There are always some lessons buried in there, and the bit of magic keeps it interesting. Sadly, there is only one more book of hers I haven't read yet, but I look forward to escaping into another magical world. ...more

Wonderful book! Sweet story with just enough surprises thrown in. The characters were easy to love and care about. This will be re-read I'm sure! ...more

I just really love this author. I don't mind if the stories I read are a bit whimsical or are a little unrealistic. Over all, the book is pretty clean. There's a couple of references to some sweet lovin but nothing scandalous. (Dang it huh?) lol. There was one f bomb which I don't know why it had to be in there ...more

I liked this book, but it didn't compare to her other books. The characters were interesting, but I missed the southern charm and history that Allen usually weaves into her stories. ...more
