Magical women are always part of Allen's novels, and this one is no exception. Josey, Chloe, and Della are linked together even though they don't know each other at the start. Soon though they learn that they can depend upon each other and develop friendships that allow them to move on with their lives. Chloe's way with books, I envy that..alas, it is not to be. ...more

I really enjoyed this book about a woman drowning her pain with food. Hoarding goodies in your closet and never feeling good enough, I think a lot of people could relate to this. Sarah is my favorite author!!!!!! I have read and reread her books many times; however, I was never able to get past the first few chapters of this one before quiting. I'm so glad I decided to read it all the way through. Oh my gosh - what a beautiful twist in the story line. I relate to Josey so much and in so many ways. Chloe is an amazing character too. I'd love to see a follow up book of those two and where they've gotten since so much has changed!!!!!! ...more

I loved it. Giving it 4/5 because although the story was awesome, the writing quality wasn't that great. I loved how it all tied up neatly in the end, how great each character was, and how incredibly fleshed out the plot seemed to be. ...more
