Sarah Addison Allen has a special talent for immediately drawing you in, and putting you under her spell. "The Sugar Queen" (as are all of her books) is a real treat. Her characters are genuine and relatable. Her stories are unique and full of surprises. I read her books one-after-the-other. She is indeed "that good".
I anxiously look forward to her next book, "The Peach Keeper", due out in March 2011.

This book was such a pleasure to read, I devoured it right away. With a touch of charm, warmth, wit and a dash of magic only Sarah Addison Allen can deliver.
I loved the mystical modern fairy tale of a young woman with secret passions, secret treats and as she soon discovers family secrets that ultimatly change her course in life. Fun,quick read!
Really, really enjoyed this book....except the end...it was an interesting twist but not one I think I enjoyed. Still...Sarah Addison Allen's writing is gret and really enjoyable!
