Sarah Addison Allen is amazing. I LOVED Garden Spells. That being said, The Peach Keeper was good. I liked the characters, and I liked the story. It was a good read, but it wasn't amazing. I couldn't really tell you why, but it probably had something to do with the fact that I didn't take any of the character's problems seriously, except maybe Sebastian. I REALLY wanted to Love this book. I was enamored by the ghostly, magical elements. The problem I had with the story was that I found Paxton and Willa to just be boring. Their regular elements of their lives were very hard for me to get through. I really thought the ending was disappointing. I felt like it just reminded us of points we had already discovered and didn't really inform us of anything we didn't already know. I would have loved to have found out why Tucker Devlin was the way he was.

I love how this author works a little magic into each story and still manages to keep it a story abut people, their foibles, loves, and woes. I think I've read every one of her books and have never been disappointed

Allen's books are ones I always want to step into and be best friends with her female characters. The hints of magic that fill her works were more subtle here though so I did miss them a bit. Still, one of my favorite authors writing what she does best, a story of female friendship with happy endings for all.
