I so did not get bored reading that I decided to write this review.

Characters: 3 stars
They are meh. When I read, I want to read about characters I want to be friends with either to comfort their sad selves or to go on their adventures. Do I want to be friends with Alina? Nah. Meh. Maybe. Mal? He's too icky and forceful. Genya? Maybe. For the time being, she seems 2D and a throwaway. I do miss her though. Better company than Mal. Nikolai? Sure. I want to give it four stars but I can't justify it with the unhealthy-persistent codependency relationship between Alina and Mal. I feel like they will probably will be end game which is just disappointing. I just can't agree with Mal as the central love interest because it is not giving how someone should love.
