Okay, I'll have to make it short or else I'll loose my mind. It may contain a few tiny spoilers, but only those, who are already obvious.

~Plot~ was not so great. The most of the book went by Alina, Mal and Nikolai planning a war against the Darkling, despite the odds. Though, the starting and the ending was nice, it was good, really. The middle portion was the same and dragged.

~Worldbuilding~ It's mostly the same. It's just that we get the same view from a deeper sense. Ravka is falling apart. ...more

I gave this book 3.5/5 stars. First of all, I liked it. It could have been better but it was good. I love Nikolai so much. His personality, his sarcasm and just everything ab him. I liked mal more in the first book and in this one he started to get on my nerves. The most interesting part was the battle at the end of the book. I liked it, really hope that Nikolai is going to be in the next book cuz if not I’m going to cry. So I do recommend it and give it a chance cuz the start is kinda boring.
