I always thought myself to be cut out to love classics. Jane Austen is a woman most aspiring authors look up to. Most would call her the creator of romance novels, the creator of enemies to lovers.

I always expected myself to be one of them. But maybe I am just not cut out for classics. Part of me finds that a horrifying thought, because in someway that makes me feel like less of a reader. It took me a grand total of two months and 7 days to finish Pride and Prejudice but I’m glad I stuck with it. The ending was really sweet and I enjoyed listening to the dialogue between various characters, especially the feisty conversation between Catherine de burgh and Lizzie concerning a certain Mr Darcy. Whilst I didn’t find myself constantly reaching for p&p, it was nice to fall back into Jane Austen’s world after a break and settle down comfortably.

Shelves: disappointing-reads, no-review

It took me three weeks to read this.

No, absolutely not.

I can't even begin to say what I hated about this novel. But I will say that these two characters are terrible choices for heroes-Charlotte and Mr. Collins would have made far more compelling heroes. The first part was a drag and the ending fell flat.
