in ruby’s world, she’s lucky to have lived to the old age of ten. after watching half of her classmates drop like flies, ten should be a celebration. instead, she is taken from her home and placed in a rehabilitation camp with other kids who have similar freakish abilities. at sixteen, ruby is at risk of being discovered as one of the dangerous ones. she escapes and finds a group of kids also on the run.

All the characters were amazing and I wasn't expecting any of this to happen.

A futuristic story that tells of a plague which eradicates many of our children for some reason that is not explained. But those kids that are left have developed powers and are divided into groups by what those powers are. The kids are now regulated to camps in order to keep the adults safe from them but slowly they are starting to disappear.
