This was the first Kristen Hannah book I read, and I was IMPRESSED and CONCERNED. Firefly Lane has a very authentic feeling - not pushed - and not overly schmaltzy. I felt for both girls as they grew up, but more so for Tully; I could understand her choices. Kate sometimes annoyed me, but I could relate to her—10/10 character development.
