this is a rare occasion where I write a review the same day I finished the book.

at first I wasn't really into it, and was rly about to dnf, but I powered through and soon got interested. Violet annoyed me at first. With lying about the whole 'i-saved-him" when it was the other way around. But soon I got to understand and surprise, surprise related to her to a point. Finch was relatable and I loved him. I do feel that sometimes the characters were just there mental illnesses. The plot is like an this is a rare occasion where I write a review the same day I finished the book.

I do feel that sometimes the characters were just there mental illnesses. The plot is like any romance, contemporary, but was kinda slow. I was reading it on my phone, and i'm not really used to that (trying to bc im going broke 😀) so that must be why it took foreverrrrrrr for me to finish it. Libby is my bestie now, bc I cant have snacks and books. This was going to be a 3 or a 3.5 but the quotes towards the end made me 😭😀🥺😢💔🖤 so yeah, in my book, quotes go a long way. that's all I can really say without spoiling, but I rly loved it, a new fav.

T H I N G S I L I K E D A B O U T T H I S B O O K:

1. I like how it dealt with grief. Of course I've dealt with different grief, but all grief has somethings in common. I could relate to all the feelings the characters felt. How some sayings are just annoying, and how apart of you dies when that person does.
The grief was brutally honest, and was called out how it is.

2. The way one thing leads to another. To explain this further I mean how you can do one thing to someone and it can be their last straw. How one thing can pile up to all the other things this person faces, and it can be end point. Which is something that's scary but just so true.

3. The school system: It shows how when a student uses physical violence they'll suspend them even go as far as expelling them. But whenever they're favorite athlete and the athlete dumb ass friends, emotionally bully someone no one seems to give a fuck. It doesn't matter if the school's fav athlete tells someone to K*ll T*emselves, suddenly everyone's a lil busy.

****** Spoilers Ahead********* How do I even begin? I finished this book 30 minutes ago and I'm still bawling my eyes out. The thing about Jennifer Niven is that she gives you the hard truth just like John Green. The world isn't rainbows and sunshine. The guy and the girl don't ever live happily ever after. This book is heartbreaking and funny at the same time. Like... One moment you're laughing and the next moment you're crying.
This book gives you a glimpse on the complicated matter of mental illness.
This book changed me(not an exaggeration)
Every human has to read this book. I don't have words to describe how much of an amazing book this is. It's beautifully written. Not you're typical cliche.I don't think anyone will ever hate this book. Read it... It's worth it. ...more

This book is SO good ... it discusses suicidal thoughts in an entertaining way
And also how to find the bright side in everything
Be aware of dehydrating, the ending will definitely kill you 😭
