When I started this book I had many, MANY expectations.
When the book suddenly started being about vampires and werewolfs all of that was blown away; because what the fuck. I never expected that and the part of me that refused to EVER read books about those creatures wanted to quit right away.

3.75 Stars! [minor spoilers ahead!!!]
I liked this book! I didn’t love it nor do I think that the hype around it is 100% justified, nevertheless I had fun reading it.
There were some things that just bothered me or made no sense for me personally (hence the missing star) for example why Poppy was basically the future of the whole kingdom of Solis, incredibly important and to be sheltered and then the people basically didn’t really care for her safety... like she escaped on multiple occasions, some ...more

that was really good. the frickin library needs to hurry up and get the second book.
