What a pleasant surprise. I had Sadie for a long time now and I don't know why didn't read it sooner.

It took me sometime( a lot tbh) to get into the story which might be because of the storytelling style( it's told in Sadie's POV and the transcription of the podcast featuring her disappearance) but I loved the change between the two POVes and how it felt exactly like listening to a podcast instead of reading a book.

At first, I was lost and didn't know what was going on but once I caught u

This book is just absolutely amazing! And I highly recommend it! Just beware of the ending . . . it is evil. Ms. Summers, how could you do that to me?!?!

The way its build-up, giving out the twist and I got pised off for that ending. How could it become an ending when you open a book about a missing girl and then end up couldn't figure out where she is. Thinking about it's categoried as YA, I have to admit even my young self still not give it a damn for sure. I just not ha

tw for rape, pedophilia, abuse, and according to lots of other reviews (5 and 1 stars) not even a good ending.

its a fast read, but its so.... i just hate books that are just torture porn for people, like I would understand a book where horrible things happens to the protagonist or secondary characters and there is other development and plot.

Also the podcast format may have been original when this debuted, but now its just meh.

The pace of the story was slow for my liking, but it was still captivating. I also didn't like the switching between Sadie's POV and the podcast, it made the story feel choppy. ...more
