What Members Thought

Various people have recommended this book to me for years and I've tried to read it several times, but I just couldn't like it. It was very well crafted, but Ender Wiggin just isn't a very likeable character. Even though he's only a child, he seems so damn smart and self-sufficient that you just can't feel close to him. There is awe, yes, and pity, but no empathy. We should just all pray that our world doesn't end up the way Ender's does in the story.

Don't let my 3 stars steer you away. This was a really good book it was just not what I am into. I am really particular and really don't have a preference for Science Fiction at all! But the story was well thought out and I really could relate to Ender Wiggens and what he went through during his time in the military program.
