if i’m being completely honest it was so hard to even rate this book
yes, it was slower at times, but it was so beautifully written and it dived so deep into the characters thoughts (intrusive or not) and feelings
this book felt like watching a play
regan and aldo both struggle so much with their problems and i loved the fact this wasn’t a “love will fix it all” trope, it showed how their mental health affected and shaped their relationship in certain ways at certain times
i loved loved loved ...more

Nearer the end it got a tiny bit wearing, but I think that was kind of the point, as the story reached the make or break catalyst.

This book is so beautifully written. Most traditional love stories are lacking depth (this is my opinion - romance novels are not my typical read). But the story of Aldo and Regan was so unique with both characters being incredibly flawed in very different ways.
Was this book pretentious? You bet. Did I still enjoy it? Hell yes.
“Can you love my brain even when it is small? When it is malevolent? When it's violent? Can you love it when it doesn't love me?”
