To merely disregard this as a "love story" is the understatement of the decade (yes I know it's on the front page, written by the author herself, but still). And I don't mean to diminish the romance genre to something less than other genres, I love it myself, wholeheartedly. this book was one i was had been anticipating to read for awhile and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to my expectations. it me awhile to finish as whenever i put it down, i found myself lacking the motivation to pick it up back up. part of the reason i feel this is because of the writing style. i think olivie blake is a great writer and offers many interesting perspectives in her writing, but i don’t think it’s for me. i also struggled to root for regan and aldo as their dynamic just seemed a b ...more

This is mundanely beautiful in a way that makes it uniquely special. I am in awe of the writing! It is fast-paced for sure and you just adapt to the writing style before you can truly enjoy it.

But this was sweetness and intimacy in a deep love story. Aldo loved her for her, and he just wanted her TRUTHS. All of it. This is a Scorpio Venus perception of love for sure. Blake did a beautiful job with this one. Recommend it to anyone looking for a love story that feels real.
