I was really excited to read Remarkably Bright Creatures because I loved the concept of some of it being from the octopus’s point of view. I really loved The Art of Racing in the Rain because it was from the dog’s POV. I went into this book with high hopes that weren’t met at first. Woah woah woah!! What a fabulous book, I loved the way it was all connected and looped back together
A curmudgeonly octopus and an elderly Swedish widow plus a thirty year old man baby with a side of Scottish grocery owner walked into a story one day. Yeah, it does sound like a shaggy dog joke about to go down, but all those characters come together for an amazing debut novel.

There may have been a few tears shed and I love Marcellus!!! <3 I always knew animals are smart and have feelings too! <3
