Ik was zo enthousiast om dit boek te lezen, maar helaas… het viel een beetje tegen. Het wordt een cozy mystery genoemd, maar eerlijk gezegd vond ik het niet heel mysterieus. Ja, er was een moord, maar spanning of onverwachte plottwists zaten er voor mij niet echt in.

Daarnaast werden er vaak details verteld die weinig toevoegden, waardoor het verhaal soms wat traag aanvoelde. Al met al: een oke boek, maar niet eentje dat me echt greep.

Four stars! This book reminds me of my beloved author Bachman. It is a murder mystery set in a retirement community where there is wine, cocktails and a bit of murder mystery solving. The story is told from the point of view of Joyce's, a retired widowed nurse, whose only child is a well accomplished hedge fund professional.
