I've been reading quite some books on Slavery in American history and I really enjoyed the metaphor turned reality in this narrative with a real, physical underground railroad.
It is an interesting and enriching book, but it is not the most touching book on this topic I've read ('the Kitchen House' & 'The invention of wings' are the most gut-wrenching).
