I don't know how many times I've read this book, but when I saw that Maira Kalman was going to illustrate it, I knew I had to own this edition. When it arrived, I realized it would be fun to read the book yet again, the better to enjoy the illustrations. I was surprised to find myself enjoying the book as if it were new to me, so that was a treat. The illustrations are wonderful, as expected. For anyone who doesn't already know, this book was a huge bestseller when it came out in the early 1930s
